PLAY THE BEST 9 HOLE COURSE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST

Big Bend Golf & Country Club is one of the best nine hole courses in the state. This beautifully conditioned dual-tee affair has plenty of character and is very fun to play. The course plays a total of 6,185 yards from both sets of nine hole tees, but can play much longer depending on wind conditions.   Established in 1963, the layout spreads over a former farm; nearby wheat fields are vestiges of its not-so-distant past. The founding father's attention to detail is evident by the well designed course that is very golfer friendly.  After a moderate uphill first hole, the rest of the course basically plays downhill from elevated teeing grounds and finishes up with the green right below the club house, a wonderful view for those dining at the Club Cafe'.  The unique greens are what set this course apart from others in the area.  They are some of the best greens you can play, fast and smooth with plenty of character, including raised undulations and slopes. There are plenty of hazards that must be avoided to score well, including a pond that comes directly into play on #8 and #9 and out of bounds on seven of the nine holes. Also adding difficulty are the white sand traps guarding five of the greens on the course.  It is truly a fun golf course for all levels of ability, come and play it.
